Arraiá Caiçara

Arraiá Caiçara in Pontal do Paraná is considered the largest June festival (festa junina) on the Paraná coast. The event is free and takes place at the Events Center in Marissol.

Food: more than 30 stalls run by municipal schools and CMEIs (municipal early childhood centers), offering typical dishes such as pinhão (pine nuts), quentão (hot spiced drink), cakes and treats from caiçara cuisine.

Culture and leisure: school quadrilha (square dance) performances, local dance groups (carimbó and forró), themed decorations and traditional games such as the fishing game and the clown's mouth toss.

Concerts: the lineup usually features big names in forró and regional bands. In past editions, the stage hosted acts such as Bonde do Forró and Banda Marca de Galpão.

Recognition: the Arraiá is now part of the Official Events Calendar of the State of Paraná, establishing itself as an important driver of the local economy and tourism during the low season.
